Brad Eastman, M.Ed., Ph.D., has been involved in teaching and instructional design for fifteen years. Brad is working with Ingenia Consulting as a project manager for online training in employee orientation for Defence Construction Canada, in addition to working on a number of other projects for other organizations and academic institutions. As a member of the LeadOn Training Solutions team of consultants, he developed courseware for Cisco Systems' worldwide Systems Engineers ACCELERATE training program in the area of Storage Area Networks.

Brad has done presentations on best practices for online instructors, knowledge management, and building online communities of practice. He teaches for Vancouver Community College in the area of educational media.

At the Distance Education and Technology department of the University of British Columbia where he worked as project manager for several years, Brad managed the work of course authors, graphic designers and web programmers to build, launch and revise new online courses. Brad was part of a team responsible for designing and teaching course materials for the Croatian Academic & Research Network’s new “Certificate in the Management of E-Learning.”

In his spare time (what little there is of it), Brad enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, mountain biking, working out, and reading. Given that he spends so much time around computers, it’s not surprising that he’s always liked sci-fi. Like his daughters, he also likes dinosaurs.
