As a Canadian Research Chair I am involved in a variety of research, teaching and service activities. A copy of my full ( 23 page PDF) Curriculum Vitae is available here . These activities include:
I teach and advise students in the Masters of Distance Education, Master of Arts Integrated Studies (MAIS) program and the Education Doctoral (EdD) program at Athabasca University.

I also serve on committees and have acted as external examiner for Masters and PhD programs globally.

I serve on advisory committees with the Alberta and Canadian governments.
I am currently the Editor of the International Review of Research in Open and Distance Learning. And, I currently serve on editorial boards of the following Journals:
I am active keynote and regular session speaker at a variety of education, distance education and net based learning conferences. During the past 8 years I have been a keynote speaker at 31 such conferences. Some my recent keynote presentations are available on Slidehsare.
Telecommunications, especially social and learning uses of the Net
Raising Kids - Currently in the middle of a 20+ year project with two subjects - one female aged 27, one male aged 25.
Music - Occasionally play piano, guitar and fiddle and listen to folk, classical and older rock music.
Reading - Enjoy thrillers, science fiction, computer and education related books.
Sports - Not enough, but I do enjoy biking, tennis, skiing, sailing and swimming.
