MDE to MEd Degree Conversion

Advanced Education approved the renaming of the Master of Distance Education (MDE) degree to Master of Education (MEd) in Distance Education and has extended this name change to Alumni who have previously been awarded the Master of Distance Education degree.

Alumni who wish to convert their MDE degree to MEd should complete and submit the online Parchment Replacement Request Form along with the required $60 fee. Choose “Other” in the list of check boxes and indicate “Convert MDE degree to MED”. 

The deadline for conversion is July 31, 2012

IMPORTANT:

Please check your personal information prior to ordering a new parchment. You can update your contact information:

1. Log into https://tux.athabascau.ca/oros/servlet/DispatcherServlet
• Help is available on the log-in screen
  
2. Scroll down the left-hand column and click on "View/Modify Personal Info"

Note: Your status may be inactive. If so, follow the instructions to reactivate your status. Then, you will be able to modify your contact information.

New transcripts

You may order new transcripts online after your degree conversion (approximately 1 week):

1. Log into https://tux.athabascau.ca/oros/servlet/DispatcherServlet
2. Scroll down the left-hand column and click on "Transcript Request"
3. First look at the "PREVIEW" to be sure the new name is indicated on the transcript
